HUE, Vietnam – TMGH (Thien Minh Group Hospitality) is set to open its first ever standalone restaurant, Spice Viet, in the former imperial capital of Hue, Vietnam, on April 6, 2017. The farm-to-table, casual dining restaurant makes use of fresh, seasonal ingredients from local sources within a radius of just 30km of the restaurant located on one of Hue’s main thoroughfares at 15 Ly Thuong Kiet, just minutes from the Perfume River and the ancient Citadel.

Spice Viet features 9 different 6-course set menus starting at just VND 150,000 per person including royal tea and a signature infused rice wine shooter. The menus offer a wide range of Vietnamese favourites from all over the country as well as Hue specialties like green fig salad with river shrimp and Hue lemongrass skewers, ideal for diners and tour groups looking to sample authentic, healthy Vietnamese cuisine.

Spice Viet Hue will be the first in the Spice Viet chain of restaurants. Other locations throughout Vietnam will be Hoi An, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city. Shared by Mr Tran Trong Kien, CEO of TMG, the chain has planned to expand internationally to Europe and Australia in the upcoming years.

Tran Trong Kien, Group CEO says in launching ceremony “we are very proud that our first location is here in beautiful Hue, home to food fit for the kings! Our next locations in Vietnam are Hoi An, Saigon, Hanoi and plan is in place for international cities such as Brisbane, Sydney, London and Cologne. The concept behind Spice Viet is to offer authentic Vietnamese cuisine using fresh, seasonal ingredients, creating dishes that are healthy, green and delicious. As you can see, the décor of the restaurant reflects that concept, bringing the outdoors in and going back to basics, away from processed foods. The whole ambience is authentic, contemporary, refined but warm, young and friendly like our country Vietnam.”
