ABOUT SLC REPRESENTATION

SLC is one of the leading marketing, PR, events and representation agencies in the UK travel trade industry. They represent 27 travel brands across 4 continents. These include destinations and tourist boards, hotels, hotel chains, attractions and Destination Management Companies (DMCs). Building on 17 years’ experience and industry connections, our talented team of PR, marketing, business development and events professionals continues to develop and grow. SLC works closely with Vivu Journeys and these two are both TMG’s subsidiaries.

POSITION PURPOSE

*NOTE: THIS IS A POSITION OF SLC REPRESENTATION – A MEMBER OF TMG

The Social Media Marketing Intern will assist the Head of Destination Marketing to grow the SLC social media channels and support with the daily management of the destination, hotel, and DMC clients.

Detailed information will be discussed during the interview.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media

– Work closely with the Head of Destination Marketing to design and implement marketing strategies

– Researching, creating, scheduling, and posting regular engaging client-orientated content on our social media channels

– Artwork creation and design in Canva and Inshot

– Monitor and measure social engagement and report monthly to the SLC team

Account Assistant

– Assist the Head of Destination Marketing and Account Director across our portfolio of destinations, hotels and DMCs. Tasks will vary depending on the needs of the client but could include:

+ Coordinate content for weekly newsletters

+ Assist with B2B and B2C marketing campaigns

+ Update client trade brochure audits

+ Assist with end of project reporting

+ Assist with roadshow or sales calls scheduling

+ Assist with new business pitch decks

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Qualification: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree

Experience: Experience with Social media management and in-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn

Experience of Data Management in a global company is an advantage

OTHER SKILLS REQUIREMENTS & ATTRIBUTES

Skills

– Fluent in national local language and English

– Experience with Canva, Inshot and Microsoft Office applications

– Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)

– Strong communication skills for internal & external purposes

– Demonstrate effective time management skills to meet deadlines.

– Ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time, completing within required time frame and quality standards.

Knowledge

– A keen interest in tourism marketing

Attributes

– Smart – good judgment and intuition around the subtleties of group dynamics and the impact of your words and actions

WHAT WE OFFER

– Three-month, extendable internship contract with monthly allowance package

– Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5.30pm
