POSITION PURPOSE
The responsibility is to encompass a wide range of the company’s legal affairs, including commercial matters, financial and investment projects, FX regulations, regulatory compliance matters, HR matters, corporate governance matters. The Group Legal Counsel will interact with senior members of the company and a wide range of both Vietnamese and foreign employees, investors and partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts from investment/share purchase agreements to vendor and non-disclosure agreements to managing legal risk, litigation, employment issues, and ensuring the company’s investments are protected
• Monitoring the execution of contracts/documents and implementation of the transactions/ investment projects
• Support the Business Functions of the Group in designing, preparing, reviewing, providing comments and consultancy of agreements, contracts, bonds, to ensure all these documents are in line with the prevailing laws of Vietnam and the Company’s regulations
• Managing external counsel
• Keeping abreast of changes in laws affecting the company and its investments.
• Giving legal advice with respect to corporate administration; prepare corporate documents; anticipate and guard against legal risks involving the company and its investments
• Studying proposed and existing legislation related to operations of the company and advising management on the same
• Represent the organization in legal proceedings before the courts, government agencies, or other authorities
• Implementation of group-guidelines, local law and directives including training and information activities
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• 3 to 5 years of corporate and commercial transactional experience in law firm or fast-paced in-house corporate legal department
• Good knowledge of Vietnam laws and regulations applicable to corporations, real estate and investments
• Experience in investment industry or real estate background highly desired
OTHER SKILLS REQUIREMENTS & ATTRIBUTES
• Persuasive individual possessing strong negotiating skills, oral and written communications skills in both Vietnamese and English
• Ability to grasp legal and business issues, balance risks, and provide practical and constructive legal advice in a business environment
• Excellent time management, communications, decision-making, presentation, human relations, and organizational skills
• Effective problem solver; prioritize and manage multiple projects without direct supervision
• Resourceful and focused; ability to assess investment risks

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Working hours: 08:30am – 05:30pm, from Monday to Friday
