POSITION PURPOSE

Oversee all technical aspects of the projects including but not limited to MEPF, drainage, structure, gaz

Ensure all technical aspects are defined and executed within the set timeframe and budget while matching the requirements of all stakeholders: owner, operator, local authorities and taking the climate and natural environment into account

DURATION
RESPONSIBILITIES

Pre-Construction Phase

  • Coordinate all the necessary surveys required before planning (soil, land, etc.)
  • Analyze and measure the performance of the proposed systems and infrastructure to recommend the best solutions to the management (long lasting, cost effective at both investment and operation phases, mingling well in the resort environment)
  • Review drawings proposed by 3rd party MEP designers; where required, coordinate with additional consultants for review
  • Support with the selection of material and equipment
  • Review costs estimates delivered by the QS and support with budget compilation for technical matters
  • Review tender documents prepared by the QS
  • Review tender comparison prepared by the QS
  • Support with the construction planning (with or without phasing)
  • Regularly coordinate with the legal department to ensure development and operations guidelines are respected (firefighting, waste water quality, etc.)

 

Construction Phase

  • Ensure the projects are delivered on time and within the budget through a close monitoring of the PM company in their day-to-day task of supervising the labor force and contractors/subcontractors, setting priorities, checking materials, inspecting works and overseeing quality and safety
  • Alert relevant stakeholders of potential delays, quality concerns or safety hazards
  • Support with the review of variation orders
  • Support with the review of shop drawings
  • Regularly communicate with all relevant stakeholders about the progress of the construction
  • Coordinate the commissioning of the systems and equipment together with the PM company
  • Deal with unexpected problems that may occur during the construction
  • Ensure all steps are properly reported and filed including shop drawings, testing, quality reports, commissioning (through a monitoring of the PM company)

Warranty Phase

  • Together with the PM company, assist with the listing of defects and pending works and supervise until completion
  • Support with the review and filing of all as-built drawings
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in Vietnam as Technical Project Manager with experience in large projects and preferably from international firms;
  • Understanding the provisions of Vietnamese law related to construction
  • Proficiency in Revit, Autocad, 3DMax, Photoshop, Sketchup, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project.
  • Good knowledge of architectural details, working drawings and construction practices;
  • Familiar with technical matters, site work and design and tender process;
  • Able to communicate in both oral and written English;
