Vietnam’s Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) is a consortium of industry leaders and stakeholders from the private travel and tourism sector. Current partners include Thien Minh Group, SunGroup, Vietnam Airlines, VinGroup, Saigon Tourist, Hanoi Tourist, Muong Thanh Group, and HG Holdings. TAB has entered into a partnership with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) to promote the sustainable development of tourism in the country. TAB is based in the capital of Ha Noi, and currently manages Vietnam’s official tourism website and its social media platforms on behalf of VNAT.


Vietnam’s Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) is looking for a talented and experienced Social Media Manager/Specialist to help share Vietnam’s story with the world via Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Pinterest. This is a full-time position based in Hanoi, and you will have the chance to work with a small international team working on behalf of the national tourism board.

Your main job will be to develop and execute a comprehensive and competitive social media strategy for the country. The right candidate has proven experience managing and growing large social media followings, is up-to-date on social tools and trends, and possesses a keen eye for curating inspiring content and storytelling.

  • Create and execute rolling social media plans for Facebook, Instagram, and Stories on both platforms, including content selection, caption writing, and scheduled posting.
  • Actively engage with Vietnam Tourism’s social following by reacting and commenting, sharing content within groups, and responding to messages.
  • Organise and execute contests and giveaways by liaising with Vietnamese brands and TAB partners.
  • Work closely with the TAB marketing team, report on monthly progress, track the success of campaigns, optimise content, and promote TAB partners via social media.
  • Develop Vietnam Tourism’s presence and grow community on Youtube and Pinterest.
  • In-depth knowledge of the social media landscape and technical side of social media platforms, especially Facebook, YouTube and Instagram
  • 2+ years’ experience working in a leading social media role (ideally in the travel industry) with successful track record of growing audiences
  • Strong writing and content creation skills, including a sharp eye for images and design, knowledge of what makes engaging content, and ability to select images and copy that is on-brand.
  • Professional, proactive and creative; able to communicate and collaborate well in a team, extremely detail-oriented and organised
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Marketing or related discipline
  • English and Vietnamese fluency
  • Experience in designing online graphics is a plus but not required
  • Firsthand knowledge of Vietnam and its travel destinations
