Hue – Da Nang seaplane flights to be launched on 25 April

The first seaplane flights between Hue and Da Nang will officially take off on April 25, operated by Hai Au Aviation and offering stunning sightseeing of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the two cities.

Using a 12-passenger Cessna aircraft, Hai Au offers three options of 30-minute, 40-minute, or 80-minute flights between Phu Bai Airport in Hue and Da Nang International Airport.

Passengers will have the opportunity to gain a bird’s eye view of Vietnam’s most beautiful coastal scenery near the former imperial city of Hue, its Huong (Perfume) River flowing through the center of the city, and nearby Tam Giang Lagoon, as well as Da Nang’s fine beaches, Son Tra Peninsula – home to Monkey Mountain and Vietnam’s tallest Lady Buddha statue, Hai Van Mountain Pass – which is among The Guardian’s top 10 great scenic drives in the world, and the city’s latest attraction, Golden Bridge – with giant God-like hands in Ba Na Hills, together with Hoi An ancient town’s charming architecture by the Han River and its green Cham Island.

Daily flights will take off at 8am, 9am, 10.20am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm from Phu Bai Airport. Tickets cost $87 for 30 minutes, $155 for 40 minutes, and $266 for 80 minutes.

The new service is also a great alternative to the two-hour trip by car, bus, train, or motorbike. It is expected to not only bring more convenience and save time for passengers but also promote local tourism.

Established in 2011, Hai Au Aviation is a member of the Thien Minh Group – a travel and hospitality group in Southeast Asia. It has pioneered commercial seaplane flights in Vietnam, providing a fresh and unique travel and sightseeing experience in the country’s most beautiful destinations.

Since its first commercial flight from Noi Bai International Airport to Ha Long Bay was conducted in 2014, Hai Au Aviation has been offering daily scheduled flights to the UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as sightseeing flights around the bay. It also offers charter flights to select destinations in Vietnam, providing a private and high-end experience in the country’s most beautiful landscapes, such as Ha Long Bay, the Trang An Eco-Tourism Complex, Dong Hoi, Hue, Da Nang, and Hoi An.

It has served over 30,000 customers from 47 countries and territories and conducted over 2,500 flights for a total of over 300,000 km.
