The workshop on “The role of Digital Marketing in the development of Thua Thien Hue Tourism”, chaired by People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province, Department of Tourism of Hue City and Thien Minh Group on the morning of 6th September at EMM Hotel, Hue City.
Mr. Nguyen Dung – Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue People’s Committee opened the workshop with a speech that they would focus on the long term and specific tourism marketing strategies in order to archive the target of turning Hue into one of the best cultural and heritage destinations in the world in 2030.
CEO of Thien Minh Group, Mr. Tran Trong Kien has stated the position of Hue tourism and also introduced Digital Marketing as an effective and long term solution for modern tourism development.
Tourism Department of Thua Thien Hue presented the status of Digital Marketing for Hue Tourism. Currently, a multi-language website is being built and a social media channel has been established to promote images, culture and cuisine of Hue City.
Mr. Hoang Nhan Chinh – the secretary of TAB (National Tourism Advisory Board) stressed the necessity of identifying the target markets preferring quantity (high spending customers) than quality (number of customers). In addition, Mr. Nguyen Trung Cong, Deputy Director of Thien Minh Group presented the future trend of Digital Marketing and the representatives of other businesses shared their experiences in promoting Tourism of Thua Thien Hue in recent years.
In the conclusions of the workshop, Mr. Le Huu Minh, Director of Tourism Department of Thua Thien Hue emphasized the requirement of defining the effective marketing strategies and high-value products. Moreover, priority of organizing an advisory board of Thua Thien Hue tourism should be given with the supports from Thien Minh Group and other organizations.
