TMG – Mai Chau, famed for its rustic beauty featuring northwestern Vietnam’s majestic mountains and forests, is gaining buzz among techno music fans.
In the fresh mountain air of Mai Chau Valley, DJs from all over the world from places like Australia, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Germany, England, India and more gather to compete, show off their skills and spin tunes that delight festival goers.
The techno music festivals in Mai Chau usually take place over three days and two nights, in both open-air and closed venues on both sides of National Highway 15 as it passes through the town of Mai Chau, Hoa Binh province.
The festival grounds are found close to the community tourism villages that Mai Chau are known for, including the villages of Pom Coong and Lac.
At the outdoor venue, festival goers can enjoy the music while dancing on a floating pontoon on Mo Luong Lake or lose themselves in the thumping beats on the grassy lawns right next to the stylishly luxury glamping grounds at Mai Chau Lodge. At the indoor festival venue, concertgoers ascend to the first level of the Mo Luong Cave for a “cave rave” featuring amazing music and dazzling lights.
In the past, Mai Chau was known primarily as a community eco-tourism destination offering tasty regional specialties as well as a scenic place to camp, trek, and explore local culture. However, Mai Chau is now also a vibrant music destination for domestic and international tourists.
