TMG – Hai Au Aviation, the first and only airline in Vietnam operating the versatile Cessna Grand Caravan 208B EX amphibious aircraft, has successfully organized its inaugural pilot project flight connecting Tuan Chau Island and Co To Island.

The flight, with the designation HAI501, departed from Tuan Chau Island, Ha Long at 13:00 on July 1st and landed at Hong Van Beach, Co To at 13:30, carrying the first six passengers who had the chance to experience this brand new route.
This flight marks a significant milestone in bringing Vietnam’s coastal tourist destinations closer together and providing convenient opportunities for travelers to explore the country’s stunning natural beauty, particularly the pristine Co To Island, which is rare in the northern coastal region. With Hai Au Aviation’s initial operation of the Tuan Chau – Co To route, it becomes not only the first flight to Co To Island in Vietnam but also the first flight connecting two islands at sea, opening up a new chapter for the general aviation industry in Vietnam.

Once the route is officially launched, passengers will be able to shorten their travel time to just 30 minutes compared to the limitations of water transportation. This includes the time to admire the majestic beauty of famous landmarks in Ha Long Bay from above, such as Ban Sen, Ngoc Vung, Quan Lan, Minh Chau, and Bai Tu Long Bay… with the guidance and commentary of the flight crew.
Starting from July 6th, passengers can begin booking tickets and experiencing this unique flight. Hai Au Aviation is currently offering a 20% discount for all customers who book and travel round trips between Tuan Chau and Co To in the month of July.
