On June 18, Southern representatives of Thien Minh Group (TMG) have participated in Operation Smile’s 24th Gala Dinner and Charity Auction “The Walk of Smiles” as a table sponsor. The vintage Hollywood style of the 30’s themed event took place at the Reverie Saigon Hotel with the participation of approximately 300 guests.

It is TMG’s honor to have contributed to such a meaningful and humane event. The total fund from the night helped the medical volunteers change 550 lives of underprivileged Vietnamese children suffering from facial deformities forever.

“In our 26 years of history, our generous stakeholders have, with love and compassion, been making huge contributions to enable Operation Smile to bring thousands of life-changing smile stop children bond with a cleft lip and/or cleft palate,” Mr. Nguyen Bao Hoang, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Operation Smile Vietnam said.

Operation Smile is a non-profit medical service organization that provides free life-changing surgeries for children with facial deformities. The charity has transformed lives for more than 39,000 children. Every year they create smiles for around 2,000 underprivileged children.

The commitment to improve quality of care and patient safety has set Operation Smile Vietnam apart. And their mission aligns with TMG’s mission and core values.

Since establishment, TMG has been striving to bring sustainable developing journey for the local communities. We are responsible to create benefits for the environment and the society that we operate. These values guide TMG along the pathway of success toward becoming an industry leader and a philanthropist.

We set our corporate development along with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), especially in environment and children. We aim to not only bring responsible travel into business operation, but also implement our mission to the local community.

Besides these CSR activities, TMG has its own Educational Travel Asia projects, in which we bring and connect the tourists to our local community through education travel activities such as improving health care, infrastructure, education and conservation. Our dedicated team has invested years of work to help travellers visit educational travel destinations that inspire and transform.

ETA projects include building schools, village infrastructure, and providing professional services in many destinations in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand. We strongly believe that giving back to the community by doing educational travel projects is a way to protect the environment, endangered species and the culture of the region we are in. This is a philosophy of sustainable developing journey
