Can Tho, October 14, 2023 – Thien Minh Group (TMG) recently organized a second 4-day, 3-night press trip visiting key destinations including Ho Chi Minh City, Chau Doc (An Giang) and Can Tho. Taking place from October 12-15, the event was attended by 30 reporters and editors from various Vietnamese newspapers and magazines covering the tourism and business sectors.
Also in attendance at the press conference organized by TMG for Vietnamese media was Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho. Representing An Giang provincial leaders were Mr. Dao Si Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of An Giang province and Mr. Le Trung Hieu, Director of the Trade and Investment Promotion Center of An Giang.
Entitled “Journey of Distinction”, this second press event doubled as an opportunity for TMG, local officials, reporters and editors to attend the anniversary celebration of the establishment of several TMG members: Victoria Can Tho Resort (25 years), Victoria Chau Doc Hotel (24 years), Victoria Nui Sam Lodge (10 years), Victoria Cruises (10 years), the 4-star Victoria Mekong Cruises (5 years) and ÊMM Hotel Sai Gon (10 years).
At the press conference held on the afternoon of October 14 at Victoria Can Tho Resort, Mr. Tran Trong Kien, Chairman and Director of TMG, represented the group’s leadership board to summarize the journey of establishing and developing the hotel and resort chain inspired by the beauty of Indochina.
Located in prime destinations, member resorts, hotels, sailing fleets and cruise ships including Victoria Can Tho, Victoria Chau Doc, Victoria Nui Sam, Victoria Cruises, Victoria Mekong Cruises, Victoria Hoi An and Victoria Xiengthong Palace are perennially favored by domestic and international tourists looking for properties with distinction and style, a pleasing blend of local culture and vintage French architecture.
“We are proud that TMG in general and the Victoria brand in particular have always looked to provide premium experiences to a large number of international and Vietnamese tourists, with the goal of creating prosperous local communities based on the development of the tourism services we provide,” Mr. Tran Trong Kien said at the press conference.
According to Mr. Le Trung Hieu, Director of the Trade and Investment Promotion Center of An Giang province, TMG’s two properties in An Giang, Victoria Chau Doc and Victoria Nui Sam, are the province’s two leading, high-end tourist destinations. “We are always proud to introduce these two properties when talking about high-end tourism products in our province. We encourage more businesses to invest in An Giang to create even more high-end tourism products for the area.”
Constantly looking to improve the quality of local tourism products and services, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho said that the city is carefully considering expanding the Cai Rang floating market. “The Cai Rang floating market is an authentic example of trade. Visitors are more interested in observing how the sellers live rather than spending money at the market. We are considering opening another market near the current floating market to help tourists do both when visiting the Cai Rang floating market,” Mr. Tuan said.
Over the 4-day, 3-night trip, members of the media experienced services at TMG properties, including ÊMM Sai Gon boasting a youthful, dynamic aesthetic in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City’s financial district and featuring authentic Vietnamese cuisine; Victoria Chau Doc Hotel in the historic city of Chau Doc, a melting pot of cultures where the Hau and Chau Doc rivers meet; Victoria Nui Sam Lodge in Chau Doc with sweeping views amongst the clouds on Sam Mountain in the enchanted Seven Mountains region; the Victoria Cruises fleet which immerses visitors into life on the water in southern Vietnam along the many canals and rivers that feed this region; and the 4-star Victoria Can Tho Resort located in a green oasis on the banks of the Hau River in the center of Can Tho.
Using these properties as bases, the group of media explored surrounding locales including floating fish farms, the Cham village of Chau Phong, the Tra Su cajuput forest and Con Son islet. In doing so, the group of reporters and editors now have a clearer understanding as to how private enterprises and local authorities are working together to build and promote tourism. In April, TMG organized the first press trip to Quang Nam with the participation of Vietnamese and Korean members of the media.
Established in 1994, TMG has grown from a company with three employees to become an enterprise with more than 2,500 employees worldwide. Thien Minh is currently Asia’s leading provider of package travel services with the mission of always putting the customer first. Operating in four areas: Destination Management, Hospitality, Online and Aviation, TMG is the perfect host in helping travelers on their journeys marked by truly unique experiences.
