The Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts served as one of the final stops for the guests aboard the 5-star PONANT cruise ship on February 26th, marking the last day of Le Jacques Cartier’s visit to Vietnam during its 7-day, 6-night maritime tour.
The museum, established in 1987 and operational since 1991, is one of the largest art centers nationwide. Its three-story building showcases high-value artistic works including paintings, sculptures, and antique artifacts, such as Nguyen Gia Tri’s lacquer painting “Central South and North Spring Garden.”

Combining harmonious Eastern and European (French) architectural styles, the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts, designed by French architect Rivera in 1929 and completed in 1934, stands as an impressive edifice. The visit left impressive moments for the international tourist group.
Previously, the international guests from various nationalities, including France, the United States, and Spain, aboard the 5-star PONANT Le Jacques Cartier had visited Phu Quoc Prison, Con Dao Prison, Ho Thi Ky Flower Market (Ho Chi Minh City), and Cai Be District (Tien Giang Province). Their aesthetically enriching journey around Vietnam’s most vibrant city on February 26th marked the memorable and comprehensive conclusion of their impressive voyage to a beautiful Vietnam.
According to Mr. Truong Ngoc Hung, the HCMC-based Operations Manager at Vivu Journeys, the DMC responsible for tours on both island and mainland areas visited by the PONANT Le Jacques Cartier, art always plays a significant role in the spiritual life of every nation. By guiding international guests through spaces rich in artistic heritage, such as the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts, Vivu Journeys aims for travelers to sense the hearts and souls of Vietnamese artists across generations.
“Art will always serve as a great source of inspiration for humanity, and the process of appreciating beauty and excellence will lead viewers to immensely enriching experiences. We hope this visit will become cherished memories for travelers as they journey across various horizons,” Mr. Hung shared.
