“This is my second time in Quang Nam. In the drawing class, I painted a bag. The picture I drew is of what I saw from the plane flying from Hanoi to Quang Nam. I looked down and could see the coast of Quang Nam, TUI BLUE, and the mountains in the distance”, shared Bao Ngan from Hanoi of his painting at the Art Gallery.
According to Bao Ngan, art can help improve concentration, creativity, and determination. “My favorite subject at school is art,” Bao Ngan added.
Talking about the resort’s Art Gallery, Ms. Do Thi Thanh Duyen, Reception Supervisor at TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An, said that this area was implemented in 2023 to offer kids a great art experience, and at the same time to raise funds for activities for local children.
“Around March, the General Director wanted to set up an art gallery to sell paintings with the proceeds donated to fund sponsorships and other activities for the children of Quang Nam province.
“The drawing room here is for kids from 8 to 15 years old. There are also workshops about craft villages for the parents. Even though our staff may have not a fine arts background, they’re able to provide basic instruction to help the kids unleash their creativity in making their own piece of art”, Ms. Thanh Duyen said.
In addition, Ms. Thanh Duyen also emphasized that TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An organizes many artistic, creative events and workshops related to drawing and the traditional craft villages of Quang Nam.
“Quang Nam has a lot of beautiful beaches. People know about our products made from seashells. We have plans for more activities such as clay workshops related to the Thanh Ha pottery village and lanterns inspired by Hoi An’s craft villages. Through these, guests at TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An can learn what life is like for local people in Quang Nam province,” said Ms. Thanh Duyen.
